Septhi Contiued Exploration (Open Thread)

With the Septhi and the Khendros pact having been formed, the Septhi Exploration core has been eager to try and find more species in the Galaxy, exploring what they can and mapping out anything they can reach for their own knowledge. Doing this they also try to find any sacred sights or important things the Septhi's alleged 'gods' have impacted on the universe and any worlds within it.

They go far and wide searching for potential new Sapients to communicate with, the Exploration Vessel is escorted by an Escort Navy Vessel with a land detachment of Royal Troops for bodyguard and exploration planetside duties, a small Spiritual attachment is with the vessels too, consisting of 5 Battle-Priests and 10 Spiritual mediators.

Several important individuals are aboard the Science vessel, most prominent being Prince Grasekh Septhi, third Son of the current Queen of the Dynasty. An explorer by heart it would only seem logical he would lead this science expedition around the Galaxy.

Meanwhile in an unrelated operation Captain Rinhoch [I just want to point the absurdity of phonetic names among a species that is universally deaf] of the Nakturan Stratocracy is mapping out stars with a great likelyhood of being capable of supporting colony worlds for the Nakturians. They consider it fairly unlikely that anything interesting will be found but persist nevertheless.

[Mthis]

The Septhi Vessels contiue their exploration trough the galaxy, using their Warp-Engines to travel the distances between the stars at relatively fast and free speeds, having a tedency of leaving probes behind in the systems theyve been through to relay some form of information.

[Caspoi]

As the Nakturans countinue their mapping of the stars they notice one of these probes and approach it, concluding that it is indeed an alien object of some kind. While there was a chance that it belonged to the Xengari they nevertheless reported back to home about their discovery.

[Mthis]

The Probe appears rather ornate, strangely enough. Emitting a frequency that travels at exceptionally fast speeds, Warp-Speed one could call it. Its covered in strange markings on the outside.

[Caspoi]

Believing the probe to belong to the same species that sent out the probes that first intruded on Nakturan space and thus confirmed the existance of intelligent alien life in the galaxy the Nakturans send out a crewmember (out of around 25 people onboard the ship) to see if the probe is in any way armed.

[Mthis]

The Probes does not appear visually armed, however it starts sending out signals at a rapid pace as objects is closer to it. The most prominent symbol is easily deducted to be a Sun.

[Caspoi]

The Nakturans try to interprit the messages, due to the sun's holy place in the main Nakturian religion some of them draw the conclusion that these aliens believe in the same things that they do, a relieving thought. Others are more sceptical and outside the lone technician tries to carefully open the probe.

[Mthis]

The Probe is opened rather, easily. Inside it is filled with Alien Mechanical devices, but certain parts roles are easy to deduct their functions. It keeps sending out the Signals, it appears to simply be a locator beacon, as well sending out a number of pings by ammount of objects near it.

[Caspoi]

As the technician reported his findings Rinhoch became rather worried about it all being a trap to lure unsuspecting aliens to be captured and ordered him to return back to the ship so that they could draw back in case of an impending attack while sending a message about the finding of the probe back to Naktura.

[Mthis]

Theres no immiediate sign of any danger, however a single ping comes from beyond the system. However its distance is days away.

[Caspoi]

Noticing the singal the Nakturans conclude that it probably comes from whatever alien vessel left these probes and decide to arrange a welcoming party by arranging it so that more ships join them in the system and are prepared for hostilities while they try to come to an understanding about the probe.

[Mthis]

The probe is surprisingly simple, but ornate designed. Not too much advanced technolegy is involved in it. After a few days the two Septhi Vessel arrive at the edge of the system.

The Escort Navy-Vessel moves infront as the Science Vessel follows closely behind it, as they scan out the system for what the Probe detected.

[Caspoi]

The Nakturian exploration vessel, followed by three larger and more well armed ships, approach the strange ships and give of a burst of signals in greeting to the alien vessels, still somewhat apprehensive but much relieved that there is only two ships, making it unlikely that this was part of a plan to attack them.

[Mthis]

The Science Vessel becomes to send out signals in return as the Navy vessel shows its broadside and waits, still clearly careful about their own movements. All of their ships bear the same mark on the probe, just larger. A Sun.

[Caspoi]

The Nakturians send out a signal containing a picture of Divine Warrior Bagglosch on multiple frequencies, hoping that the aliens would be able to interprit it. They had now concluded that the sun must indeed be an important symbol for these aliens.

[Mthis]

A signal is sent back, containing a picture themselves. One of their Queen, covered in jewelry and fine robes, the sun is an importal symbol that appears all over the Queens robes, even one in the fur pattern on her forehead.

[Ell-Ärks]

A four crew Imperial californium seeker enters the system. Led by the newly appointed captain Tarjan Tegler Mert-Kalh'ar. Scanners rolling, it notes small deposits of the substance in the system. Sends an encrypted message to it's home system and rolls the scanners once more as it waits for the batteries to recharge. It notices six unknown vessels in the system and decides direct link home for instructions. Recievd instructions: stay in system, watch the act and avoid combat.

[Caspoi]

The Nakturians have been studying and evaluating the picture of the septhi, concluding that the ears may indicate a sense of hearing, when they notice the arrival of the new ship. Worried that it may in fact have been a trap they draw back to a more defensive position and signal to the newcommer.

[Mthis]

The Septhi notice the change in the foreign vessels behavior. They begin internal communications but remain in formation and at a distance. Prince Grasekh speaks to the officers and leaders of the two vessels.

"Be prepared for anything, we cant expect all Races to be as open to us as the Khendros" One of the Officers nods and salutes "Of course not your Majesty, we will be prepared"

[Ell-Ärks]

The Imperial vessel notes the change in position of four of the ships. Captain Tarjan orders the crew to stay calm and to stay put. A signal is recieved. Captain Tarjan orders the radio operator to send a standard code alien encounter message to all vessels in the system.

[Caspoi]

The response calm the Nakturians down, a response increases the probability of the aliens being friendly. A picture is sent to both of the alien groups, showing their ships grouped together in a way that is meant to represent a question if they know one another.

[Mthis]

The Septhi Vessels receive the signals and message and seem to not know how to respond to these so far. The prince speaks again. "Prepare to move closer, slowly, keep the crew ready for evasive action at a moments notice"

The ships start moving closer, onboard soldiers in the Escort vessel arm up in space-suits and magnetic weaponry as well as breach-charges just incase while the Science vessels crew prepares their own equiptment for close range scanning.

[Ell-Ärks]

The Imperial vessel appreciates the response from the larger group of ships as it opens up the possibility to initiate conversation protocol two (mathematical formulas and dockingport data). Captain Tarjan orders this to be done as soon as permission from home base has been granted.

[Mthis]

The Septhi, not being the larger number of vessels present contiue their approach towards the four Alien vessels at a slow pace, initiating scanning as much as they can to determine what they are composed off amongst things as well as atmospheric conditions.

Within the Escort Vessel the Troopers have their equiptment checked one by one to ensure all is in order and working condition. The suits fit their feline appereance with large extrusions around the head where their large ears would fit, as well as an armored section for the tail thats flexible and maneuverable. Each suit is typical in different colors to depict rank, apart from that they are completly uniform, the officer with them starts briefing them on their task.

"Were going to be providing security and emergency distractic if the meeting with these aliens go sour, we have to protect the Science-Vessel and its Civilian crew at all costs if it comes to it. Is that understood?!" In unison all the Septhi Soldier shout "Sir! Yes Sir!" The officer nods and turns towards the screen on the side of the room which gives them all live-feedback on the happenings outside and in the Science Vessel.
